It IS the perfect engine for this plane. I had one a couple of years ago, powered by a OS 46FX, I replaced the stock muffler with a Tower muffler. That gave me at least from 500 to 600 rpm's at the top end. Another flyer at my club had the same plane and lost the wing in flight due to wing plate failure. I did reinforce the firewall but never had any problems with the landing gear or wing plates. I also fuelproofed the tank compartment and was glad I did since the fuel tank developed a leak at one point. I just flew this plane to death and then sold it to a friend.
