Default RE: What is a "DeadStick"?

one more...I fly 1/2a (.049) all my landings are deadstick,,well one day at the field,I'm flying a plane and a guy pulls up to the field, just as he gets out of his car I run out of fuel,,pretty high up and he asks if I'm ok,, I say yeah and float around a bit before landing,,well he see's its hardly my first time and says "OH" ,,so he's getting his planes out and I said , actually I've never landed a plane with wheels or fuel..so he gets a trainer out and buddy box and ..well long story short on the 2nd flight I took off and landed a .40 size trainer....kinda tame actually, but I guess thats why those same folks say 1/2a planes are "squirrely"...I have since had 1 plane with wheels its my big plane ,it has an .074 on it.....Rog
