Default Warped wing on an ARF

The lower wing set on my GP Tiger Moth came warped. After trying to weight it down flat and reshrink the covering I had to ship it back to Tower (Hobby Services).

I had a new wingset in a week. Of course I shipped it back UPS 2 day, and paid a little extra for them to ship the new wing UPS 2 day. All in all the service was good.

I always look at the wings and tail surfaces when opening a new ARF. I've passed up a few at hobby shops due to warps. Unfortunately this is an impossibility with shipped items, leading to the occasional disappointment.

The stabilizer on my first Sig Rascal Forty was warped as well, but I was able to take most of it out with the heat gun while pressed flat on the workbench. Still a slight warp to it, but heck, it's just a Rascal, and it flies great.

Good luck,

Dave
