Default Modeltech P47 tail wheel gear.....

I know, its an ARf so don't complain! Here goes any way, the tail wheel bracket has 4 mounting hole. The t nuts are preinstalled but the spacing between the top and bottom holes is almost longer than the brcket itself. There is also no way that I can see to install blind nuts in the proper location. So you either get to use the 2 top holes, or the 2 bottom holes but not both. I installed the bracket using the top holes only. While looking the plane over I think I pushed sideways a bit putting some pressure on the tail wheel. The bracket instantly snapped into little pieces. Ok my fault. I ordered a new one at a hefty $13.00 US plus shipping. Last night I installed the new one again using only the 2 top holes. Good so far. I installed the push rod and attached it to the control horn. I went to the other end and pulled on the rod to straighten the tail wheel and "snap!". The new bracket again broke into little pieces. @*&%!!~#*&^%. Sorry, had to vent! Conclusion, the bracket is like the clevises. Yellow, brittle, old looking, and apparently very fragile. So I bought a Sullivan tail wheel assembly and am going to use that. I had to glue in a brass rod into the tail wheel to make a smaller diameter for the Sullivan but thats minor. Maybe I can finally finish the tail wheel off tonight and finish this thing off![>:]
