I was trying to get the truck legal to run in the small block class but I have just got the rules listed and it will not be possible to run the truck here at all. The main stumbling blocks are the rules against running 'converted low chassis trucks' and the one stipulating that a truck must have stock transmissions and differentials. My plan was to change the diff housing to accomodate wider arms and then fit a hub that will allow bigger tyres to be fitted. This still would not make the truck fit within the guidelines of the small blocks but unlimited class allows 'hand built' trucks to compete. Looks like that is the only way to go. Maybe I should just run the Savage, it will be alot cheaper and simpler in the end.
