Default RE: Wooden blades from rulers??? Details??

Im seriously considering this. Im getting tired of the lousy balsa blades that are currently available for the E-flite Blade. That monokote thats on them starts to peel around the blade tips after a while, and if you ever get a light strike on one, the tip will shred like a carrot in a blender.

One of my friends has already started experimenting with removing the monokote and epoxy coating the balsa blades. So far they seem to be working very well. I will probably try that first, and then move into making the whole blade myself.

Im curious though, how do you weight them? All the current production blades have lead weights near the tip in the leading edge. How are you reproducing this, or are you just leaving the weights out?
