Default Great Planes Cessna 182 control-rods.

I received a Great Planes Cessna 182 ARF for Fathers Day (2004!) and I don't like the push-rod/control-rod's. I have been looking at the Sullivan Gold-N-Rods and Dubro's Lazer rods. They both look good but I have used neither of them. Any opinions out there?

I am also using the OS FL-70 which is just a bit taller than the 52 and looks great under the cowl with just the rocker cover sticking out. I ran in the engine with a 13x6 prop at 9800 rpm and was planning on flying the plane with a 12x6 3-blade for a more scale look. Bax from the OS engines forum here said that the 12x6 3-blade is too large and that I should be shooting for 11,000 rpm. So maybe a 11x6 triple? Any ideas?

Thanks. Gene
