I doubt that it is the spyware protection too. I have it on mine along with lots of other stuff running in the background and G3 works fine. I would say they changed some settings or drivers to fix it, if it is fixed.

Even though you have all of the scenery turned on, have you also gone into the graphics settings and set them all to "Highest" ? If you have and still have that kind of frame rate, don't ever get rid of that card. My system is more than you have and I can barely sustain those rates. But if it works, don't monkey around with it, just let me know how you did it!
