Breakstuff, Type in msconfig in the run box.

Check the startup pane.

You can stop programs from loading at startup by checking and unchecking the boxes.

Some you need, most you dont like for example Microsoft office ( it runs just fine if not loaded at startup)

You can experiment using this tool and if you tell it to it will not ask you evertime.
Changes do not take place until restart.

Should you want to go completely back click Normal Startup.
