I bet the sticks were rubber banded together and your box missed getting the bundle. Somewhere another builder is scratching his head wondering why he has 10 sticks when the book says he should only have 5.
First, you should 'inventory' the entire kit versus the parts listing that is usually at the front of the manual or on a separate sheet. Also look for badly warped wood.

Call or email them and explain what the problems are. Calling will likely give immediate results, email will likely take considerably longer. Everything I've read or heard about Goldberg indicates they will do everything in their power to make sure you have a complete and good kit. My guess is that you'll have a package on your doorstep in a very short time.
