Glennis wheels report!!!!!!
Well I fly jets and warbirds!
I have had a Mig 15 with Glennis wheels and breaks and now I have a Eurofighter with Glennis wheels and Breaks!
I have enclosed some pictures that shows you what happens to the rubber tires ofter just 2-3 flights. They simply will not stay on!
We have tried everything to keep them on the rims as you can see, but forget it, they just do not work.
I recommend to never buy Glennis wheels. This is my Eurofighter, with a P-200 in it. Out of 15 flights the tire stayed on for 5 flights only! When they rortet at high speeds they examd and will not stay on!
Highly recommend to use the Robart breaks and tires instead!
The other problem with the Glennis system is that the actual axel will wear through the rim after several flights meaning that the tire will either lock up or the whole tire/rim comes of! The disks push towards the inside of the rim and therefore the axel will eventually work its way through the rim!
Do not use Glennis wheels and breaks!
