When the floats flex - and they will - you may find the leads jumping off the top pair of pulleys leaving you with no water rudder. If you invert those two pulleys and mount them to a hardpoint on the fuselage directly above where they are now, and run the line through them, you will have a bullet proof system. Other than that it looks great and is a good complilaton of ideas presented....

Thanks for the reply and observations. I considered the same thing, however, the Proctor pulleys are deep-cut and the turnbuckles create sufficient tautness in the cables to minimize that possibility. I tested it quite a bit and couldn't get the cables to jump.
I would think if I encounter a condition severe enough to cause a control line to jump a pulley, then I will have far greater concerns at that point, likely structural failure. To date I've botched a landing or two without incident. I'll keep it in mind, and let everyone know if it happens.
