Default Paint on huge props?

You can differ all you want to. I have both and the Top Flite is a piece of junk gimmick compared to the High Point balancer. I bought the Top Flite first and after discovering how poor it was for the big props, I went and bought the Robart balancer.

That's not to say you cannot balance a 16 or 18" prop on one for I have done it many times myself. And the dropping to the bottom of the magnets is the problem I was referring to. One has to place the mandrel in postion between the magnets very carfully or it will drop to the table. When you have to go about that 15 -20 times to get a prop balanced, it becomes annoying.

There's not that much difference in price and if you are going to go out and get one, then buy a real one. With the High point, you can do open ended balancing whereby you can balance spinners and back plates. The mandrel is much nicer on the High Point too. You can also balance anything much heavier than a 18" prop. I've made several gas engine conversions of weed whackers and I always balanced the flywheels on the Robart balncer. It is the Standard of the Balancers to which all others are compared.

If you already have a Top Flite balancer, then enjoy it to it's limitations.
