Default RE: Realflight G3 Problems

all you really need to get off of a video card is around 60 fps. the human eye cannot assertain movement faster than that. when i was playing a game called medal of honor allied assult my ATI 9000 Pro was giving me those frames, now with the game call of duty not so good. the thing with video cards is to get what your budget can afford. but try to get something good that will last a while. another thing is that there are so many variables that can affect the performance other than just video card. having the right memory for your machine having a good processor and even a good hard drive. the hard drive is often overlooked but it no less an important item due to file reads and such during game play. 6600 should be sufficient enough to get 60 fps out of g3 but not Doom 3 and the like. video card is not always the most important feature. plus when putting together computers having components not interferring with each other is important as well. for anyone that has a integreted component like a sound card etc you will have known the pitfalls of performance and such. i do think that the people building bluestratos' computer were trying to build the best they could and not afford him alot of money as well. though i think 2000 is too much money for any computer. i built a dual processor system with 120 gb hard drive and a 120 mirrored partition for less than 1500 dollars. my current computer cost me 300 bucks i plan on upgrading video card to a nvidia fx 5800 ultra or something similar from my current ATI radeon 9000 pro. which will cost me around 150 bucks and give me 60 fps or more for what games i play.
