RE: Cap stone hobbies dodger, How does it biuld?
When I lived in Columbus, Ohio I lived right down the street from Capstone Hobbies. They were great guys and made some really nice kits. Anyhow, I built three Dodgers, one with the foam wings that were included with the kit and the other two from the plans (with built-up wings). It might have been my lack of experience with sheeting foam but the built up versions came out a lot lighter. There's no taper in the wings and no dihedral so building one from scratch took about a day.
Yes, they are very easy to build, the toughest part is setting up a sound radio install in such a cramped space.
I used an LA .40, .46 FX and Rossi .40 on them. They all flew VERY fast, even the one with an LA .40! I've read a lot of your various posts and truly believe you need to get your building and flying skills together before attempting a Q500 airplane. I whole-hardedly suggest you finish your 4* and learn low wing flying on it before doing this.
