I'm not sure your waterpickup will get much water if the hull actually gets on the plane...

In my sons mini hydroplane the intake is in the left sponson, and the (sucking) outlet in the right one.

Also, if possible, take off the remains of the 380 propshafts with the fins, to reduce drag.
