RE: Showtime
My pops was the one who posted about setting it up like the Extra 260. What he did was to take some thin aluminum we had laying around and cut a T out of it. He then screwed this into the bottom of the rudder just after the hinge. So the springs instead of going toward the back of the rudder go toward the front. It takes LOADS of stress of the rudder servo. Before we did this there was enough tension in the rudder you could use it as catapult when it was on its side. Pull the rudder down put something on it and let go. It would go across the room. Now there is just a little tension from the springs at full 45 deg deflection and the tail wheel works great.
I like this plane in the harrier. It does have wing rock if you don't watch out for it. I've found that if I'm carrying to much throttle it rocks more. I've done two harrier landings(never done them with any other plane) and have dragged the tail several times. I've been able to overcome the rock by adjusting my Elevator/throttle settings. I've got the CG where they recommend.
I'll post pics of the rudder setup if I get some time. No garuntees though. I got moved to night shift and I can't keep my eyes open most of the time lately.
