Default Brison 3.2

I have owned and flown both the 3.2 and the zdz 40 on a Hanger 9 Edge 540.

The Brison web site claims 26 lbs of thrust with this engine. Of course, who knows what prop combo that might have been on.

I tach 6900 on a Menz 21 x 10 and 7200 on a 22 x 8 Menz, 7500 on a 21 x 10 Mejzlik, 6300 RCS 22 x 10, 6200-6300 22 x 10 Menz, 6150-6200 22 x 10 square tip zinger, Bolly 21 x 8. All the props have unlimited vertical. I went to a 21 x 10 only because the plane look like it was going very slow to me when flying with the 8 pitch. I switched from the 22 x 10 props because Gary at Brison say to keep the motor prop between 6500-7500 static. He felt the lower 6 grand figures were bogging the 3.2 down. She was easy to T-Roll with all the props especially the 22 inch props. You can easily get the 26 lbs of thrust that Brison claims with most of the 22 x 8 and lower props like the 21 x 10 and such. I am going to try my hand at IMAC so I am going to go back to a 22 x 8 and see if the routine looks better with that prop. The 22 x 8 Menz had the best down line braking. I could actually take the plane up 300 feet do a 4 point roll to the left and pause and do another 4 point roll in the other direction and still have 125 feet of air left. I figure this may be the ticket for the IMAC moves of 2,3,4, 5 and so on point rolls. The 3d was easy with 8 pitch, I just felt the plane was slow. Best example with the 8 pitch about 45 MPH top speed with the 10 pitch props about 60 MPH. I get to fly the 10 pitch props at 1/2 throttle or less because of the more pull they provide. You will love the 3.2 with a peacekeeper muffler as the other one is very loud to my ears while flying. The peacekeeper along with lower RPM and a 22 x 10 is so sweet. I will also be tring out a 22 x 8 Mejzlik. talk with you soon ....
