ORIGINAL: SGC Glad to hear the 074 is a goer, what prop are you useing ? and what prop on the dieselised 061? I have just fitted an RJL head to my 061, but as yet not run it.
Andy Woitowicz, the 1/2A Guru in Ontario Canada, probably has more experience running both the .061 & .074 as diesels than anyone else. You can run a search on this board for his posts or he is very quick to answer direct questions. Andy is a font of information on small engines with particular expertise in carburetion and one of 'the good guys' also. He has been using a dieselized .074 almost since the engine was released. He has definite opinions on what prop the .074 prefers.
I've corresponded with Andy for years and he's been so nice as to do some work for me that was outside my own area of competence at the time, but last Winter I pulled up ALL of his past posts and read them. (no small task!) Even after having read his posts, magazine articles and a lengthy correspondence for ages I STILL learned new stuff or got my memory refreshed on things I had let slip from my conciousness.
