Default RE: Risk Takers?

ORIGINAL: Jim Branaum

Crash99,
I ask you exactly what skill level must someone be to hover a 30% + bird right over your head rather than over the flight line or even better the other side of the runway? The issue is not control, and it is not "showing off", or any of the other buzz words being bandied about, but it is safety. Please address that question, as some in the AMA have.
Hey Jim-

If some have addressed the safety question in AMA, they have kept it to themselves. What kind of deterrent value does it have to deal with some smartass showoff that flagrantly violates safety standards beyond any iota of common sense, and the issue is treated as a verboten topic by some and the reaction is to squash discussion of. There was some discussion in this forum of such an incident. Some posters called for silence - let AMA handle. The thread was closed. Okay, so AMA got it to deal with. What did AMA do with it?

"Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Somebody hold up the corner of that rug while we sweep this under it."
