as per AMA, up to 200 mph, but few are capable of over 300, most fly and max out at around 140 - 160. Altitude is pret5ty much as far as you can see it .. even the big birds get rather small once you start hitting 2500', but its more fun keeping them in closer and visible .... as for cost, you can jump into a sport trainer type turbine jet around $3-4K all the way up to 30+K for some of the larger super scale models ... a giant c117 was even up for sale here on RCU a while back for over $50K !
