If you want an electric airplane then get the E-flite Mini Edge from Horizon Hobby. If I were you I would keep the Funtana 40 nitro powered. Lipos can get very expensive and if you pay $400 for a lipo pack and charge it wrong or if it gets damanged you are out of $400.
