Default RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Hey guys.

Wow! I just put in a Traxxas Performance Pipe I had laying around for my O.S. .18 CV-RX (when it gets back from warranty repairs [:@]) and I thought to myself, "Well, since it's just sitting here, why don't I put it in my MT2?" So, I went about my business taking off the old one and fitting the new one. The Traxxas pipe (here's a link to it in case you would like to know: click [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSP47&P=RF]here[/link]) which is originally for a T-Maxx, made a HUGE performance increase! It was rather insane... My top speed increased dramatically!

Anyways, are you supposed to have to retune the engine after installing a new pipe? I did, and now it runs much richer. It still stays cool though, and is MUCH louder! [8D]

If you would like, I'll make a video of it and show you what it can do. Though I can't open it up on my street; it isn't long enough between intersections and the tires balloon too much for my liking.
