Default RE: Excelleron 90

Hi,

I'm looking for a plane to participate in a local pattern contest this September. I think that Excelleron 90 would be a very good choice. However I would like to use the plane for freestyle/3D flying. Han anyone performed basic 3D with Excelleron such as harriers, hover waterfalls etc? I downloaded the manual and there is a small paragraph regarding 3D set up so I would guess 3D with this plane is possible . Also I noticed that elevators and rudder are rather large for a pattern plane and also that it has full span ailerons, not very wide though.

The plane would be a last minute choice due to the lack of EF YAK 54 and Showtime 4D in Europe. From those planes you could easily understand where I'm coming from. I would like an "all around" ship that could fly both styles by flicking the switches.

Engine choices would either be an OS-120 Surpass III Pump or YS-110 FZ.

So what do you think? Is this the right plane for intentions?.

Rgrds,

Nick
