I really don't think that the 2 speed is necessary for this truck. Seriously, guys, if anyone wants a new pipe, try that Traxxas one out. Such an improvement over the composite one they include, though your truck gets a lot louder. I like it, though, it resonates more and sounds deeper and more realistic. I noticed earlier that the picture they show on Tower doesn't have the mounting bar that I actually used, so I would get [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDDU1&P=RF]this[/link] if you want to get the pipe just in case. Also, I used a different screw to mount mine. Here's a brighter picture of my setup (all I did was increase the brightness and contrast on the old one) that I used to mount. As you can probably see now, I have a longer screw put in (unfortunately it wasn't countersunk, but it only sticks out a little bit and is close enough to that spur gear protector that I don't think it'll hit the ground even when going over rough terrain) and another nut (that didn't actually fit the bolt) closest to the chassis, then I had the mounting bar, and then I secured it with the correct locknut that it came with. It works really well and holds the pipe really well, although the pipe sits just a tad bit crooked. It isn't enough to matter, though.
I promise I'll get that video up sometime soon. As promised by the weatherman, today is supposed to be partly cloudy down here in B'ham, so it's still bright. My video camera is charging right now!
