I have next to no experience as far as suspension goes, but I have a setup on my MT2 that seems to be working quite well, much to my surprise

. I'm using the stock shocks, but not springs. Well, two of them are, but not for long. I mostly run on pavement, light gravel, grass, and dusty, packed dirt. I've only jumped it a little bit, but my setup seems to be holding up very well and I'm liking it. I use 35 weight oil all around, and soft springs up front and medium ones in the back. The LHS was sold out of the soft shocks in the back but I went ahead and bought the front ones anyway. Though I'm still going to put on soft ones on the back, right now, this setup is working great! It takes small jumps well and doesn't come close to bottoming out, and absorbs larger bumps quite well. The smaller bumps aren't quite as nice though, but it isn't a big deal for me. I don't race at tracks, but I do occasionally challenge my neighbor to a few races though he has to use my other car, which is MUCH slower

.
Anyways, don't take my word for this, let someone else that's more knowledgeable tell you what's what with suspension.
Hope that helps anyways.
