There's some video on the OMP website. Yes there have some 65 yaks with 180's and the two I know swear it's a great combo. Lot's of good setups with the 120s as well which are the same rough weight. The Saito 180 is one of the listed engines for the giant profiles though and I guess my view as the designer is that's what the 80" Edge is for. My answer to crashing is simply "don't crash". The Edge would be a much better 3d trainer and the Yak with that engine would be an animal for sure. So best to decide what you want to use the plane for and go from there.
