Default RE: G-62 TACH READINGS?

I am running a 62 with the big stock dual output muffler...not the little old one. Ch Jump Start, Zenoah oil 32:1 , Biela CF Prop 22x8 , 7000rpm. Pulls a 17.5 lb Ultimate vertical...sustained but blistering fast.

Forget the Zinger props...way too much drag. I was running a 20 8x14 Zinger and got 6200, the biela woke it up. The Zingers have their place on these motors..I do use the 20 8x14 for a different model...but not an aerobat.

Remember the Zingers are flexing at torque and that change makes the run-up change too.

Putting on th cowl makes big diff , too. I did a little experimenting and found I needed to make a hole in the cowl for the carb to breath. I used a velocity stack to get it outside the cowl. No change now with the cowl on or off.

I was only getting 5800 with the 20 8x14 until I got it breathing right. ..then 62- 6400.

These motors have to be propped just right. Not like the higher performance motors...you can throw anything at them and get decent readings. Not these GPU style motors...they need the right prop.
