Default What about wood blades?

I did not read all of the threads but has anyone suggested making wooden blades in place of the plastic ones from Byron?

A number of people on RCU have prop replicating machines so having someone try it should not take too much effort.

Also, I have a complete plug-in wing version of Byron's P-51D with Q42 engine and reduction drive. The idea of having the Q42 sticking outside does not appeal to me so I am planning to adapt a 1.8 size glow engine.

Has anyone done this before?

The picture below is an example of someone who has done it, the entire kit is currently available on EBAY.
