i believe you need stiff springs for drifting... I take my MT racer to the golf course and drift on the green because the grass is cut real low and its pretty damn slippery. I use proline road rage tires. People mount abs or pvc on their rims to drift but i wouldnt recommend it on a nitro because you will over rev the engine.
