Default RE: JR8103, GY401, RaptorV2 30 setup/config

Hey Chris,

We got my R50 back in the air last Saturday, but somehow the gyro got mucked-up. First it somehow got reversed, and then once we switched it back to the correct direction, it didn't have enough gain???

I re-looked at my gyro gain settings in the radio, and saw that they were the same as what you posted above (100 and 10). Would bumping the 10 value up to 25 help, ie. is the "1" position value mixed with the "0" position value inside the Tx? Or is there something else I should be looking at to increase the gyro's gain. The sympton is the tail wants to swing around when giving it up/down throttle (now remember, I'm a newbie, so don't take my words too litteral, I'm translating what my instructor/friend told me as best I can).

BTW, after flying it in this degraded state for a while, the motor suddenly stopped and she came down. Busted the tail boom, one ball-link, and one hoop. I was able to bum those parts off of another guy at the field, and get her back in the air in an hour, but my question is why did she suddenly stop running? Was the te,perature and humidity too much differnt for the air/fuel mixture ratio we had set for it the last time I flew it???

Another BTW, I'm thinking that this JR radio is too different for my Futaba based instructor, so I'm looking at buying a 7CHP or 9CHP Futaba, any recommendations?

you got my email address right?
