I run a 9X7 all the time with my Tx timer set to 10 min. Like you I go all over the place with the throttle and have not hurt my Kokam 11.1v 1500 yet, and it is one of the older ones, not the new 20c jobs. At wot my amp meter shows it will pull around 18a. Yes that is an over draw but I don't go wot all the time and it seems to be ok for extended bursts.
