Just posting I have found the problem to why it appears to rev very high.

I am an idiot who after re-installing the engine forgot to re-attach the throttle servo and the car was as WOT

I feel a little sheepish and ashamed of that one.

Hopefully with only two short high rev runs the engine will be ok. It was only for a few seconds each time
