I thought it was a patriot myself. The first time I saw it out at the field I walked up and said, "Hey, is that a patriot?" He explained it was not a patriot but a pattern ship - can't remember the name though. It is done in the same Thunderbird color scheme. Next time he has it out there notice the trailing edge of the wing is not swept like the patriot. Also the rudder is much larger and the tail moment is longer. I agree it does fly very nice from the looks of it.
