....the rudders deflect "out". I was going to use a brace like these, just one
on each inside vertical stabilizer....to shore up the fins. They will get a lot of
stress if used as airbrakes.
Even with these on the Ultra Stick....the rudder could deflect 90 degrees, if
nothing was in the way.
The fins just glue into a slot, they could easily be bumped and damaged in
transport.

How did you finally brace the Rudders? Since you were only going to need the braces when the Airbrakes are deployed, I'd suggest bracing then against then selves. Put the brakets between each rudder so when the brakes are applied the rudders press inward against each other. That wouldn't add any stregth btw the Rudders and the fuse though.........How'd you end up doing it?
