Hi, James.....I'm digging in the MA box now.

I had trouble with the engine....my first ASP. It banged like heck on the 15%. It
didn't like it at all, and it blew a new Miracle plug on the first run. I got a fresh
can of 5% PM and added 3 ozs of castor to it....that was better, but it was
still knocking. I put a K&B 1L in it (med/warm plug) and it was a little better. I
had 20% oil....almost half castor.

Then I put in a #4 cold Rossi plug,and it was pretty happy. I still had to richen
the low end a tad to keep it from knocking coming up off idle. It was a subtle
noise, but it was there....you know my ear is keen for the engines.

I might just get another head gasket and de-compress the engine a tad, that
was rediculous. It doesn't seem like I hurt the motor....good thing it was nice
and tight to withstand all that detonation. It would probably run just fine on
0% nitro. Basically it runs like the Rossi .45's....low nitro and cold plugs.
