Default RE: skymaster fi5 setup

Steve,
Whoever told you the ailerons are useless is a nimrod.I was one of the first to get this plane in late 03,and flew it the whole 04 season without incident. My throws were set up as per the instructions and it flew perfectly.I hear the taileron version flies well also,But with that setup,a servo failure will cost you the plane. With ailerons,a single servo failure should not cost you the jet.this is a great flying airplane with decent high speed, and slows like a *****cat for landing. Also I did drill through the elevator horns into the shaft, and tapped it for a 4-40 screw, which I put in with locktite,so the control horns wouldnt slip.I'd recommend that.Don't be afraid,it's an honest, straight, airplane with no bad tendencies.Pin those stab horns and go fly it!!Good luck,
Erik
