What if you held the throttle back on the 9 cell pack to apply the same amount of power(same RPM) as the 8 cell pack? Amps x Volts = watts.
OK, using your analogy then for the servos to be the same you would have to move your radio stick slower to make sure they drew the same amount of current as the 4.8 volt pack.
The servos Will draw more current with the 6 volt pack
My guess is that it is the load on the servo(how many oz of torque needed to keep the surface where you want it) more than how fast you move the stick that really draws the energy. And if you are flying the same style on the same plane putting the same load on the servos it is easy to do. I don't think I use the full speed of my servos very often during a flight?

Am I missing something here?
