RE: Showtime
I'm thoroughly disgusted with myself. There is only two areas of the assembly manual I need to read when I build a plane, you'd think I could handle that. One is the balance point, for obvious reasons. The other is the distance from the firewall to the prop hub when mounting the engine. Guess what? Couldn't get that one right on this plane. I read once, measured twice, & promptly mounted the engine 1/2 inch to close to the firewall. [&o] I got so disgusted I quit for the night. Curious though. For those of you who are using a Saito 1.00 in the Showtime. Did your mounting holes come dangerously close to the end of the mount? Once I move the engine it is going to be very close If I use the stock mount. That and fitting the cowl is all I have left to do on this rascal.
