I know you've been asking this a lot and it must be frustrating not getting a straight answer. I can try to explain our decision.
Imagine someone owns the 440 and hears about this new software he really wants to buy, but the box says that it doesn't support that card. So he goes and buys a new graphics card to run the software. It runs fine and he's happy.
Then he reads somewhere on the internet that the software *does* work with the 440, that it's just limited. I imagine that this individual would be upset because he would have liked to know that he could have kept his 440, evaluated the software using that card and then decided whether it was worth buying a new card to get all the features.
By saying that the software supports the 440 we keep 440 owners from having to spend more money than they need to, indirectly reducing the cost of the software.
Ideally, we would tell the users exactly how many features each card supports, but that kind of information doesn't easily fit onto a box.
I talked to Ryan (knifeedge forum admin) and he says that once the next patch is out he'll update his [link=http://12.156.2.54/forums/showthread.php?t=9216]RealFlight G3 graphics card support[/link] thread to indicate any card-specific limitations. We'll also make that thread easier to find by adding a link to our homepage.
Hmm, it seems like I am a KE customer that bought G3 (plus all the addons) believing that it would support my video card, after all your forums say it does, but it doesn't completely support my card. If I would have known that my card is not fully supported by G3, I would have been very happy to have kept G2! But I feel like you guys are being very deceptive by continuing to say the GeForce 440 MX is supported. What else is new though? From the time I began reading your forums, you guys have never owned up to putting out a sub-standard program that wasn't ready for release. Plus, you guys have been very good at blaming everyone and everything else and not taking responsibility for the problems with G3. I made the mistake of being a KE cusotmer twice now and I'll promise you that I will not make that mistake again.
LOL, I guess I could apologize for all the horrible things I said about Slider and all the horrible words I wrote in the G3 forums but to be very honest, I don't remember ever typing a swear word. Now, my avatar was funny and it directly reflected how I felt the guys at KE had shown how they felt about me as a customer.
Like I said, G3=Death knell
