I think this will answer your question... I copied and pasted it from the pdf version of the manual.....

"Both transmitters must be programmed identically for the trainer system to function properly.
All servos must operate in the same direction, centering, end points, and other settings
such as type of Modulation must be identical."

See thats was has me and my instructor that taught me stumped, i got this from him to borrow, i used it on my tiger 2 with airtronics reciever worked perfect. The buddy box on the hitec rx won't work. I thought the buddy box runs off everything from the master tx, so the only thing u would have to change is trims and servo reversing.
