Certainly, whatever you do in your own chamber isn't effected by copyright. As soon as you start making that work acessible to other people for whatever reason, the copyright applys. I don't think that the Reflex guys have much fun doing all the work (research, making that technology available to the market, making the pictures, travelling to places) just to feed the community of the competing product. I would have expected that these issues are widely known and beyond doubt.
