Yes it slides in and out. Took me about a whole evening to come up with this after several other ideas. Look at the pics and you can see where the screw goes in the front of it from the front of the fire wall and the one that goes in the back. Front piece recessed to clear the T nuts. Just be sure to clear the engine mount with the front one so you don't have to take all that stuff out to remove the fuel tank. And mount the tank far enough back in the unit so you can bend any lines as needed to avoid kinking them. All holes generously doused with thin CA to insure a good hold by the screws since it's all balsa. No foam but I use Dubro sintered fuel clunks that along with some silicone based Armoral seems to completely eliminate any air bubbles sucking up the fuel line problem. Same idea the filters in those vibrating chain saws allow it to run completely dry.
