Yeah, you need some sort of resistance on it, going with no resistance is asking for trouble .

I, like Human_Enigma, used sandpaper to grind off the ridges, then put some electrical tape over the clip to provide some resistance. Worked real nice, throttle up and down is real smooth and just the right ammount of pressure to keep the stick from flopping around by it's self.
