Default RE: good kit or plans for a 3d capable edge 540t

Aeroworks 25% Edge 540 is a kit.

It flies VERY NICE. Would need a little bigger elevator and rudder for good 3D IMO. It's light. Should come in under 10 lbs unless you get crazy with the epoxy.

Problem? Its $275 for the kit[X(]

WAYYYYYY overpriced for a box of sticks and foam.

Man, if your willing to build a 28% plane--then just go ahead and build a 30--35%. I wish I had done this instead of building a bunch of 27% kits and assembling 2 of the 28% ARFs.

The servos are all the same on these bigger planes. You might need a couple more, but your coreless servos with 90--100oz torque will fit in a 30-35% plane just as easily.

LOTS of manufacturers make Edge kits in this size.

Get an 80--100cc engine and go for it.
