RE: Tires for onroad
I have heard many people just complain about road tires on STs. They say all they do is spin out. This is mainly due to expansion. Two things you should do with road tires is to:
1. Before glue them to the rims, turn the tire inside out and apply a strip of duct tape all the way around the tire. This will prevent the tire from expanding so that the whole tire will make contact with the pavement at all times.
2. Make sure your camber is at 0 degrees so that the whole tire makes contact.
This will make your road tires hook up great. I run my truck at my LHS on sundays when they do parking lot racing. My X-C hasn't lost yet. And I race against onroad sedans. I run Proline road hawgs.
