Default RE: new engine in evader

ORIGINAL: aznhustlerboy

I am planning to replace the stock dtx engine with a .18 cv-rx OS. I wanna know if it is a 100% direct fit ( swap out engines, no ohther hassles) and if i needed to do anything to the car besides maybe aluminum idler and differential.??
Yes it's a direct fit long as you don't get the slide carb one. I run it and only had to fix my slipper clutch assembly...I added 2 slipper pads cause my stock setup kept slipping under full throttle....other than that I've done nothing except add tires it ripped the stock ones right up. The OS .18 isn't that much more power than the duratrax it just develops its power faster and hits higher RPM's. Your Evader will be way faster than it ever was with the durtrax engine...you'll backflip it at will
