Default RE: .28 in a funfactor? oh dear....

right, i got another 3 tanks thru it, and the clutch bell was smoking quite well after the 3rd. i had left it for a good 5 mins between tanks... but it seems even the alloy clutch is still slipping. the second tank it was gripping well from take off, but then it died off.

i am starting to question the gearing now as well as the clutch springs. i am running a 14t pinion on the genesis 43t spur what do u guys think? i know that the cen clutch on the os18 will hold with that spur and an 11t pinion, altho it does wear the clutch fairly quickly.

the other thing is that the bell isnt vented, and i cant drill it as the 18t 2nd gear ppinion is too large to allow me to get a drill bit in.

im guessing the 1.1 mugen springs i fitted are made from 1.1mm wire? cant i go down to 1.0mm, i am sure i have read about this somewhere.

gotta do something - only had a couple of small wheelies so far, the suspension is quite soft tho, and the engine may take a little more running in/leaning, but this is the main reason i am looking towards the gearing now as well.

any thoughts are welcome...
