Don't cut the whole window out or you will weaken the body a lot (from experience). A screen is Ok but honeslty you get very little dirt coming on from the front that can be blocked by a screen that is big enough to allow adequate airflow (read: tight screen will defeat the purpose of cutting out a portio of the windsheild, large enough screen will allow almost all dirt to pass through.
