Default RE: My Aging Sig 3D Mayhem

I have the same plane and some (not all of the same issues. Here's what I did. I went over all of the glie joints around the wing saddle again, this time with finish cure epoxy (the 24 hour kind) thinned well and allowed it to soak into the wood/joints. Then I got some wing saddle tape (thin foam) and placed that on the wing saddle. Last, I enlarged the dowl holes just enough that I could add some thin brass tubing over the dowels. No more slop.

As to the hinge, just add a Monokote hinge kinda like sealing the hinge joint to either side of the rudder over the broken hindge and fly the crap out of it.

I have nearly 200 flights on mine & still going strong, although I have had to re-enforce the rudder itself a couple of times. Hope I helped.
